We finally received a letter from our landlord telling us that we were in arrears for 60 days on our Rent. June is around the corner so 90 days is imminent. Landlord advised that there would be no reduction or adjustment to it and that it was due no matter what the circumstances. We have been closed to the public since March 21st due to the NY State mandated regulations handed due to Covid 19. We are deemed non essential. This created a cash flow problem since we do very little mail order business, and curbside sales are minute, just enough to pay for our Insurance and utilities. Nothing left for Rent or Payroll. We have been praying and anticipating opening but alas, NO says the government. This fundraiser is an effort to keep us going and be able to open to business with a vigor once the mandates are lifted. The money will be used exclusively for Rent and insurance. If any funds are raised past our stated amount, it will be used for Local Animal Advocacy groups and individuals as we always do when we have excess money. Again this is pretty much desperation move by us since the money has run out. We were thinking of options for us, including bankruptcy, liquidation and closing, but none of these are what we want to do. We still have an enthusiasm for music and what it means to everyone and we do music well. Our staff loves the appreciation of our customers and community that we have established over the last 30 years. Any support donations even $5 will mean so much to us and the staff so we can continue to be one of the Best Record Music and Nostalgia Stores in the Tri-State area. Thanks for reading and please share this if you can. Peace, God Bless and be safe.
