I never thought I’d have to write something like this, but I’m asking for help to save my best friend.

Indi means everything to me. He’s only 7 years old, and despite everything he’s been through, he has the kindest, gentlest soul. He was found on a short tether and in a state of neglect on the side of the road as a 3 year old, and somehow he still chose to trust people. He went on to find love and safety with his owner — but heartbreakingly, we lost her to cancer at the end of 2024.

Since then, I’ve done everything I can to keep Indi safe, loved, and secure. He isn’t just a horse — he is my best friend.

He’s also a huge part of our access to horses programme, bringing comfort, connection, and joy to so many people. Indi has this incredible way of reaching people, whether they’re nervous, struggling, or just need a moment of peace. We’ve always believed that horses don’t need to be ridden to be loved — and Indi proves that every single day. He gives so much just by being himself.

Now, he needs our help.

Indi has been diagnosed with a rare and highly aggressive form of cancer that will spread quickly. Without urgent surgery, he will not survive. This has all happened so fast, and we are in a race against time to save him.

The surgery he desperately needs will cost a minimum of £2,000–£3,000, but could be as much as £5,000 depending on what’s found and the care he needs afterwards. I will do absolutely anything for him, but I cannot raise this amount alone in the time we have.

This is time critical. Waiting is not an option.

Indi has already survived cruelty and loss. He has brought love and light into so many lives, including mine. We love him more than anything in the world, and I can’t bear the thought of losing him when there is still a chance to save him.
