Save India! Ambulance for Oxygen Langar in Delhi!
Donation protected
A few MNIT alumni are raising funds to help a 500 bed “Oxygen Langar” and 100 bed Covid center in India. Mr Gurpreet Singh, father of the 'oxygen langar' has been providing Oxygen and CT Scans free of cost to Covid patients. He needs our help to buy Oxygen concentrators, additional beds and an Ambulance to bring patients from their homes to this 'langar'. He is now sending his Ambulances with Oxygen to help the rural population who have little or no access to medical facilities.
“We have limited cylinders of oxygen. So instead of giving them to the needy, we have appealed to those in need to visit the gurdwara, we will provide them oxygen till they find a hospital bed” said Gurpreet Singh, the founder of Khalsa Help International, who has been associated with the gurdwara said. This fund has been started by Santosh Sharma, Neeraj Agarwal, Rajiv Arora, Mahesh Sethi, Poorva Gupta (nee Murarka) along with friends from Sur Aur Taal, Minnesota and friends from MNIT, Jaipur Alumni.
This 500 bed Gurudwara in Indirapuram and 100 bed Covid center in Ghaziabad on the outskirts of the national capital have emerged as the saviour for those in dire need of oxygen but unable to find a hospital bed. "150 volunteers at this NGO are providing support and are travelling across India to refill the Oxygen canisters. He added that most volunteers are working long hours with little sleep at the gurdwara. Many of my family members have tested positive, including my sons, but I am still here 24×7 because I want to help people and will continue to do it,” said Gurpreet Singh.
He has saved lives in the thousands so far and we have provided him with 12 Oxygen concentrators so far.
You can learn more about Gurpreet Singh - father of the term 'oxygen langar' - on almost all the Indian channels - Republic, India Today, Indian Express, Barkha Dutt Mojo, AajTak, etc. The unique service offered by this gurdwara had inspired people in South Delhi and Kanpur to start similar initiatives.
