In Season Market and Nursery is a Stockton gem of a local business that has been repeatedly burgled and vandalized this year. When the founder of this treasured local nursery and meeting spot was retiring and considering closing it, my nephew and niece, Caleb and Tina, stepped up to continue the legacy of locally grown produce and nursery plants and gardening classes.

Their current fence and security cameras are insufficient to prevent the wanton destruction that took place AGAIN recently, destroying most of their winter vegetable starts and many other plants. As a retired UC Horticulture advisor working with nurseries, I know that small businesses like this run on very small margins and cannot sustain repeated losses like this.
