Save Ida's Land: Help Roland Stop Auction
Donation protected
Hi there!
I'm Roland, and I’m reaching out with a personal and urgent request. I just found out that my late mother, Ida—who passed away in 2019 at the age of 91—left behind a plot of land in the California desert.
I never knew it existed.
For years, she had quietly paid the taxes on it. After she passed, the payments stopped. And now the county is about to auction it off. I had no idea the land was there; otherwise, I would have taken up the payments myself. I only learned about it last month, through a random text from someone trying to buy it before the county auctions it off.
At first, I thought it was a scam. But I looked into it, and sure enough: this land was my mother’s. Now, it’s in danger of being taken away forever.
I’m asking for help to raise $4100 by May 7th—just two weeks from now—to stop the auction and begin the legal process of getting it transferred into my name. I don’t yet know what I’ll do with the land. What I do know is that it deserves to be saved.
It feels like her final gift to me—something I didn’t know she held on to, waiting quietly.
Please help me save it.
Any donation helps, and if you’re unable to give, a share means the world.
Thanks for helping me keep Mom's land from being lost.
