Save Icy

My name is Icy. Everybody tells me I'm adorable and I look like a puppy, but I'm actually 8, and I don't care about any of that as long as I get snuggles and treats. Since the day I was born I've been best friends with my mom - she says she was there watching when I was born, but I don't remember that, I just remember us always being together. Since then she's gotten married and given me another best friend in my human little sister, but when it's just us she kisses my forehead and tells me I'm her first baby. 

Lately my neck has been hurting so mom took me to the doctor, and they told her I have a tumor in my neck along my spine. Mom's been crying because it's going to cost a lot of money to remove the tumor and give me medicine for it, but if they don't I'm not going to be around much longer. That's silly talk, because I would never leave my family. Which is good I guess, because Mom says she isn't ready to say goodbye to me yet. I never want to say goodbye, but I know I'm much too young to leave. Can you please help so my mom will stop crying? I hate seeing her sad so I kiss her tears, but I don't know what else to do.
