Save Home and Dogs: A Call for Compassion

Through no fault of my own, I lost my job in March 2024. The company reorganized and let a lot of people go. Since then, I have lived with unemployment and savings while enduring countless interviews and not being hired. Unemployment is ending, and I am about to face losing my home and having to rehome my dogs (that is killing my heart). I have always helped and donated whatever I could to friends, different benefits, and charities, my prayers are that anyone can help me this time.

I am still trying to find employment; this is not an easy task. I get online and search all day, every day, and still nothing.

I was able to secure my NYS license to sell life and health insurance, but unfortunately, I couldn't get the job because I have difficulty remembering the scripts they require because of the ruptured brain aneurysm I suffered a year ago. Sadly, I lost some of my abilities, such as short-term memory, clear speech, walking normally, vision (right eye), and some function in my left arm. I was told by the doctors that some of this could take years to recover from.

Fortunately, I can still perform normal job functions that I have done for over 25 years, but sadly, I can't find work in my occupation. I don't have any family that can help me, and I hate that I have to ask for help.

To be honest, I am heartbroken and terrified of losing my home and dogs. I feel sad for my dogs; they are all 7 years old and only know me. I hate the thought that I will have to rehome or surrender them.

I am only praying I can raise enough money to prevent losing the dogs and my home and give me more time to continue my work search. Thank you and God bless.
