URGENT: Help Save HM157 and our homeless food drive

NOTE. We raised our first payment to our landlord. Now we are on the second payment due by August 24 th . Thank you for all the support .

My name is Angeline, and I’m asking for your help to save our historic music and arts space in Los Angeles, HM157.

For nearly 20 years, HM157 has been so much more than a venue. It has been a home for art, music, film, fashion, creativity, and community. We’ve opened our doors to underground artists, hosted free events, supported musicians and filmmakers, and created a space where people from all walks of life could connect and feel inspired.

Today, we’re facing the greatest challenge in our history.

The pandemic, the recent Los Angeles fires, rising operating costs, and ongoing legal issues with our landlord have left us in an incredibly fragile position. Because critical repairs to the property were ignored, we’ve lost significant income. After recently reaching an agreement in court, we must pay $4,200 by August 7 or we will be forced to leave HM157 within two weeks. A second payment of $4,200 is due August 24. Once those payments are made, we can continue pursuing the landlord to complete the court-ordered repairs and keep this historic space alive.

Even during our hardest times, we’ve never stopped giving back. For the past seven years, we’ve provided food, clothing, and essential supplies to our unhoused neighbors through our donation center. Families and children in our neighborhood have relied on us for meals and support.

If HM157 has ever inspired you, welcomed you, entertained you, fed you, or made you feel like you belonged, we’re asking for your help today. Every donation—no matter the amount—brings us one step closer to keeping our doors open and preserving this special community space.

Please donate if you can, and if you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us.

Thank you for standing with Reid, me, and the entire HM157 community. ❤️
