Hi, my name is Sophia, and I’m reaching out in a time of great need for my sweet puppy, Herbert (aka Herb). On Friday, February 14th, I adopted this precious puppy, full of life and excitement. However, later that night, Herbert began showing signs of parvo—a dangerous, highly contagious virus that attacks a dog’s intestinal system and can be fatal if not treated immediately. Despite being fully vaccinated, Herb still contracted this virus.
Since Sunday evening, Herb has been hospitalized at a veterinary clinic, fighting for his life. The treatment for parvo is intensive and costly, and so far, I’ve spent around $4,000 in hospital bills. Unfortunately, his treatment isn’t over, and in order to give him the best chance of survival, he needs further hospitalization.
Parvo is incredibly dangerous, especially in puppies, and if left untreated, it can be fatal. Herbert is under 5 pounds, which makes him more vulnerable and means his little body requires extra care and attention to fight off this virus. He’s been so strong, but his chances of survival are slim without the continued medical treatment he desperately needs.
The cost of his treatment is more than I can afford, and I’m asking for help to ensure he gets the care he needs. I’m hoping to raise $4,000 as it is anticipated that it will cost another $4,000 for the treatment and care that he needs, in hopes that he will make a full recovery. Your support, no matter the amount, will make a world of difference.
If you can contribute or share this page with others, it would mean the world to me and to Herb. Thank you so much for your kindness, compassion, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
With gratitude,
Sophia & Herbert (aka Herb)
