Save Henry: Puppy Needs Urgent Care

Help Save Henry – My 8-Month-Old Puppy. 

Update 3: The joint tap came back and confirmed the diagnosis of IMPA(Immune-mediated polyarthritis) with the medication change they are seeing improvement today. They have lowered his pain medication. He actually ate this morning and walked and checked out his surroundings when they took him to to potty. He peed on his own as well. They will keep him possibly through the weekend. But he is showing improvement finally. He will have to be on medication for possibly months and monthly rechecks at OSU

Update 2: his spinal tap came back clear so they have ruled out meningitis. He still isn’t improving and they are doing more tests to figure out why he is so sick. They have changed the medication he is getting because the other ones were not helping. I will update more once I hear from OSU Veterinary Hospital today

Update 1: Henry started deteriorating and our vet has sent us to Ohio State University Veterinary Hospital. So costs will increase.

Henry is just 8 months old—full of love, life, and the sweetest personality. He’s been my little shadow since the day I brought him home, and I can’t imagine life without him. Sadly, Henry was recently diagnosed with IMPA- Immune-mediated polyarthritis, a serious and painful condition that requires immediate and intensive medical treatment.

Watching such a young, playful pup suddenly become so sick has been heartbreaking. The vet bills for his treatment—including diagnostics, medications, and hospitalization—are quickly adding up, and I simply can’t afford it all on my own.

The total cost of his care is expected to be $10,000-$13,000, and every single dollar will go directly toward giving Henry the best chance at recovery.
