Save Heather's Pantry, Save Pets
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Heather. I've been running the community's pet food pantry since the beginning of COVID. This week, my old 2007 Dodge Caliber hatchback failed inspection due to rust.
I started this to help people in need be able to feed the pets they already have in hopes to decrease the number of surrenders to the already overflowing shelters and cats being dumped in the streets.
I travel to York and MD to get skids of dog food and, at times, with a surplus of food, share with other local shelters and rescues in need.
Unfortunately, I am not in a position to purchase a vehicle for this purpose. While I do have my own car, it's a Mitsubishi Lancer and obviously can't haul food.
I honestly don't expect anyone to buy a vehicle for me to transport animal food and supplies. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Unfortunately, if I can't secure a vehicle for this purpose, I may be forced to deplete my stock of food and close the doors. I service close to 200 people monthly with dog food and cat food.
If you would like to donate, it will be helping so many families continue to feed their fur babies.
I just picked a dollar amount because vehicles are so much more expensive lately.
I just need something that is reliable and big enough to haul food in all kinds of weather and keep it dry while doing it.
