This GoFundMe has been created specifically for our June 27 fundraising event, with a goal of raising €5,000 to help Heartstone Sanctuary meet its most urgent needs.

! Heartstone Sanctuary faces an urgent crisis !

To comply with legal requirements and ensure the safety of their rescued cows, the sanctuary must complete essential infrastructure work within a strict deadline.

Many of these cows are elderly by farm animal standards. While most cows in the farming industry are slaughtered between a few months and five years of age, rescued cows can live into their twenties. Caring for animals weighing over 1,000kg requires specialised facilities, and standard equipment is simply not suitable.

If the required work is not completed in time, the cows could be seized and slaughtered.

Immediate needs include:

• A customised, steel-reinforced handling system for veterinary care and health checks

• Completing the main shed roof to provide safety and weather protection

• Installing automatic drink station

To help raise these funds, we're organising an online fundraising event on 27 June featuring talks, workshops, movement sessions, cooking demonstrations, and more.
