International HBCU Xchange (iHBCUx), Inc. is raising funds to support the HBI xperience (HBIx) Program, which seeks to increase research collaborations and partnerships through student-faculty exchanges between HBIs in the U.S. and South Africa.
Due to the recent Executive Order on Reevaluating and Realigning United States Foreign Aid, our funding has been frozen, putting this critical program at risk. HBCU students, regardless of race, are underrepresented in study abroad and international exchange programs. HBIx provides a rare reciprocal exchange opportunity for students to engage in global learning, conduct research, and build cross-cultural connections.
Funds will cover travel, housing, passports/visas, research stipends, program development, and partnership-building to ensure students can access transformative global experiences despite funding challenges.

- Six-week Collaborative Online International Learning
- 3-Week HBCU student-faculty exchange, South Africa
- 3-day summit for participants in Washington, D.C.
- 2-Week HBU student-faculty exchange, Washington, D.C. HBCU site visits
