Save Hazel: Emergency Surgery Needed
Donation protected
Update: I am trying to get Hazel in for an X-ray and blood work to figure out how she’s doing while we try to get the funds for the surgery. She has been having different symptoms daily, including light color of the tongue and gums, she had a couple days where she peed only once a day. But the last two days she’s been more active, not sure if that’s a good thing or a sign of something else.
I will update again when I know more. Thank you to anyone and everyone who has helped! ❤️

My name is Sabrina. I am asking for help to save my 6 year old yellow lab Hazel. We have been treating her for a bladder infection and recently found out that the infection has spread to her uterus and she developed pyometra. She now is in need of an emergency spay before it spreads further. We don’t qualify for the care credit card to cover this.
A little about Hazel. Her mother is also a member of our family, her name is Penelope. She had a fabulous pregnancy and delivery with her babies. Hazel and her sister were the last two born and the only yellow labs. I personally delivered all the puppies with my kids surrounding me. So Hazel has been a large part of our life since birth! My family would be devastated to lose her so I will do my best to figure out something to help her fight and stay with us! When she was 3 months old we lost one of our other family pets and I really don’t want to put our family through that again.
The vet has informed me that the surgery starts at $500 and goes up from there depending upon the spread of infection. She said they have to proceed with caution as not to spread it.
Thank you for taking the time to read and if you can, thank you for helping save our baby whether you just share or donate, we really appreciate you ❤️
