Hello, I’m Harry Tolentino, I’m 21 years old and I live in the Philippines. I am diagnosed with Kidney Failure/Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and my life has taken an unexpected turn due to this diagnosis. Before this diagnosis, I was a freshman college student taking up Aeronautical Engineering. My journey through CKD has been life-altering, and I am currently undergoing hemodialysis three times a week. It has left me physically drained, emotionally exhausted, and financially burdened. Since my kidneys failed, a kidney transplant is my only chance for survival.

It all started a few years ago when I was just 19 years old and currently, I have been undergoing hemodialysis for almost three years since January 2021. My life is now filled with dialysis treatments, countless medications, and complications. Despite these challenges, I am holding onto hope. Throughout my life-threatening experiences, I've witnessed the unwavering support of my family, which is what keeps me resilient and gives me strength. A kidney transplant is a costly and complex procedure, but it represents a lifeline, my only chance of survival. It is a chance to return to a life without constant medical interventions, restrictions, and to be able to study again. Unfortunately, the financial burden of the surgery and medical expenses is far beyond our means. My family cannot afford to cover all the medical bills and the high cost of the surgery due to our short financial income. This is where I humbly request your help.
