Hi, my name is Hanna!

I'm a 6-year-old Siberian Husky-Pom Mix I love running, playing with the laser and cuddling with my family at night. They always say how much they love me, and I feel it every time they look down at me with that soft smile. All I ever ask of them is a belly rub, a little snack, and good walks, that is my happy life. But lately, things have been different.

For the past few weeks, I've been feeling so tired, so tired that I don't have the energy like I used to. I do not want to chase the squirrels anymore, and my tail is not wagging as it used to. So my family noticed that something was wrong. I did not mean to worry them, but I couldn't help it. They have been really loving, taking me to the vet and trying to figure out what is happening. I have been having some discharge from my vulva, and it is not just a little. It's a lot, and it's making me so uncomfortable. My family is really scared, and I can tell it's hurting them to see me in pain. The vet said that I have a serious infection, called Pyometra and in need of immediate surgery. I don't understand most of it, but I know it is scaring. It is hard on me to be patient and calm when I'm not feeling well, but mostly hard on my family because they want to help and just don't have all the answers yet. They have spent all they could afford to in trying to help me, and I can sense how stressed they really are about how to manage paying for treatments that can keep me going.

If you could help us even a little, it would be everything to me and my family. I'm not ready to give up on the squirrels or the comforts of curling up in the couch I am still Hanna, and I want to make more memories with my family. But right now, I need just a little assistance to ensure I can remain the happy dog I have been.
