Save Guy's Cello

Please help our family save Guy's cello, and his career.
My brother, Guy Fishman, is an exceptional cellist. He started playing the cello at age 12, and at 16 began his Baccalaureate studies with David Soyer at the Manhattan School of Music. Guy completed his Doctoral studies at the New England Conservatory of Music. In addition, he is a Fulbright Fellow, and spent his fellowship year in Amsterdam studying with the famed Dutch cellist Anner Bylsma.

Here, you can watch Guy at one of his recent performances:

Saving Guy's Cello
My brother's cello was made in Rome in 1704 by David Tecchler.

His cello is more than merely a tool. It once belonged to Guy's teacher, Richard Kay. Before that, it belonged to Mr. Kay's teacher.

Guy's cello is also more than the key to his livelihood and his ability to provide for his family.  Indeed, it is his voice; it's the unique voice that has, over the past 15 years, helped his career blossom. And his voice is about to be taken from him.

As part of his divorce proceedings, Guy has been ordered by a judge to sell his cello. This would have devastating consequences for his career, and his ability to provide for his family.

We, his loving family, are reaching out to the world to help save Guy's cello, and his career. Please help us.
