Save Guy Buchanan's Family from Homelessness

Hello everyone, my name is Guy Buchanan.

I know times have been rough for everyone, and I am no stranger to those hard times. Over the last year, I have been through multiple jobs just trying to make ends meet with life. I am trying to get help for me, my wife, both of our kids, and the animals we have. We are on the verge of losing our home and have nowhere to go. I hate to ask for help, but I have no other options. Both of my children have autism and have finally made this place home for themselves and hate change. I really don't want to uproot them from the support system they have in place at the elementary school they attend and the friends they have miraculously made.

The story of our issues started about a year ago when I lost my overtime at one of my last jobs. I was making enough to start moving forward in life; bills were paid, we had two car payments, and life was good. Until I lost the overtime. I was doing 60-hour weeks when they cut the overtime option, and that loss ended up cutting my checks in half, which meant that rent could no longer get paid in one check, and I had to start using both checks to cover rent. We were told that the overtime cut would not last long, so I stuck it out for a few months. I then lost that job. For over a month, I put in multiple applications and heard nothing. I got lucky and was able to get some temporary work for a few months that did cover my bills other than most of the rent. I recently found another job as a permanent thing and am up for a promotion there, but it's a little late for right now, and I am hoping that it will help with future things. I just need help with things now.
