Hi everyone, my name is Andrew, and earlier today (10/21/26) I found a small kitten trying to cross the Boulevard at Grant Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia. He was dragging his back legs and struggling to get out of traffic. I couldn’t just leave him there. He was scared, weak, and clearly needed help.

I brought him home, gave him food, water, and a gentle bath. He’s very timid but has such a sweet temperament for everything he’s been through. He’s still alert and responsive, but his back legs don’t seem to be working properly, and I’m worried he might have an injury or nerve issue.

At this point, it’s unclear if he’s in pain or what exactly caused his mobility problems. That’s why I’m trying to get him seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. The exam and X-rays are estimated between $300–$500, which would help us find out what’s going on and what kind of care or treatment he’ll need next.

I’ve contacted multiple rescues and humane societies, including the Women’s Humane Society, but most are full right now. I’m doing everything I can to find him proper care, I just need help covering the initial vet costs so we can take the next step.
