In June 2023, I was driving down I-85N when I spotted a tiny ball of fluff clinging to the rumble strip which is captured here on my dash cam. I immediately pulled over and scooped up the cutest little kitten I’d ever seen. She was so weak that her meow was just a raspy whisper, but she curled up in my hair that night — and every night since. That’s how Cheesy Gordita Crunch became family.

She’s grown into a sweet, curious, and playful cat who lights up every room. But today out of nowhere, Gordita began acting lethargic and unwell. Just half an hour earlier, she’d been her usual lively self.

We rushed her to the emergency vet when we noticed her tongue was turning blue. After bloodwork and x-rays, the vet believes she may have accidentally ingested Tylenol, which is extremely dangerous for cats.

We’re doing everything we can to save her, but the medical bills are adding up fast. My Care Credit limit can only stretch so far, that’s why I’m reaching out for help. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not one to ask for help, but I have to give my Gordita a fighting chance.
