Right now, Our Neighborhood Deli in Gaithersburg — the heart and soul of owner Gina Goldring — is in danger of closing its doors.
This authentic New York deli has served residents classic bagel breakfasts, mazo ball soup, pastrami on rye and much more, becoming a local culinary staple. It has been a labor of love for Gina, a devoted mom of two and local business owner who pours her heart into every sandwich, smile, and slice of cheesecake she serves.
After unexpected family and partnership challenges, Gina faces the heartbreaking possibility of losing her dream — and our community risks losing a one-of-a-kind gathering spot that brings people together every day.

The Vision: A Deli Revitalized by Community
Instead of watching this neighborhood gem fade away, members of a local BNI business networking group, friends and local supporters are stepping up to transform and revitalize Our Neighborhood Deli — Bar Rescue-style!
With teamwork, creativity, and a lot of heart, we’re giving the deli’s lower level a complete makeover, turning it into a welcoming community hub with two new dining and meeting spaces where BNI members, customers, and neighbors can meet, eat, and connect.
Here’s what we’re building together:
️ Room 1: A semi-private meeting space (10x10) with a glass door, seating 6 to 8 people — perfect for team meetings and business connections.
️ Room 2: A cozy dining area (12x18) with bistro tables and chairs for casual dining and networking.

We’ve already made incredible progress thanks to the generosity and grit of local business owners and BNI members:

- ✍️Cheri’s Charming Movers cleared boxes and delivered furniture.
- ✍️BNI members sponsored tables and chairs for the new spaces.
- ✍️Frank from ROIPros.com is building a brand-new website.
- ✍️Dominiqua from Uniik Creatives is designing a new logo and brand identity.
- ️ ✍️Leslie from Minuteman Press Bethesda is printing flyers, banners, and menus.
- ✍️Carmen from Culinart Photography is doing interior design consulting and food photography.
- ✍️Yvonne Turner, a local copywriter, is writing copy for marketing materials.
- ✍️Vivian from Maid Right of Montgomery County deep cleaned the new dining area and bathroom and is decorating the entrance with lighting for the holidays.
- ✍️Malcolm Brown Videos and Keston from Keystone Productions are filming a promo video for social media.
- ✍️Diamond from Prudential Advisors Rockville and Michael from Cornwall Business Advisory provided financial analysis to help Gina rebuild stronger.
- ✍️Nick from Fully Promoted Arbutus is providing a donors plaque and promo items.
- ✍️Diamond and Nick are even volunteering on some weekends to make sandwiches!
And there’s more.
Local artists are contributing wall art, new mats and lighting are being installed, and Brian from Loebig Ink is boosting the deli’s Google Business Profile to drive more online orders and foot traffic.

- Pay for past due rent, $19,500 is needed for the last three months.
- Cover the remaining renovation costs (materials, flooring, lighting)
- Support marketing and digital upgrades to attract new customers
