SAVE GHADA'S FAMILY

Hi everyone, my name is Nina (Nuggets on a Roof) - I plea with the depth of my heart and soul to help my beautiful and resilient friend's family. (It would be amazing if we can surpass the 40,000 because the rest can go to my friend’s other family members who are in need of help. She has two other aunts, her dads sister who are in Gaza and need financial help)

"An urgent plea to save my life and the life of my only brother, who is the only family I have left after the occupation killed all members of my family in the explosion. This includes my mother, father, and two of my siblings.

I am Ghada Abdo, 21 years old, and in my final year of university studying English Language and Translation. Before this brutal war came and destroyed everything, we were forced to evacuate six times along with my family. Each time, we witnessed death in all its forms.

The first time we left our home was on October 11, 2023. We fled in the middle of the night amidst the sounds of shells and rockets above our heads. My younger siblings were extremely terrified. One of them lost consciousness in the midst of the panic. There were too many casualties and injuries in front of us. After long journeys of suffering during the evacuations, my family, consisting of six members was killed on January 19, 2024. I saw family members die before my eyes. I saw dogs digging up my older brother's grave and eating his head right in front of me. I saw my mother in a shroud and I couldn't even believe what I was seeing. I saw my father, burned, begging for help before he died. I saw my younger siblings bleeding. I almost died that day from witnessing those scenes. I lost my mind. I saw them being buried in the garden of our home, and I couldn't even say goodbye to my father and younger brother. They passed away two days later in the hospital on January 21st, 2024 as we were trapped by the occupation forces that were invading our area at the time.

On January 16th, 2024 the occupation forces launched military operations in the place where my brother and I were staying. On February 1st, 2024 the occupation forces stormed our home and fired bullets and shells at us. They even reached the floor we were on after blowing up two floors of the building. They forcibly took off my brother's clothes in front of me and forced us to walk 20 kilometers (12 miles) barefoot while knowing he was injured. We are all suffering from psychological trauma. My brother and I need $30,000 to leave this war zone and go to a place where we can start our lives from scratch because there is nothing left for us here. We are now without shelter after the occupation burned and destroyed our home, without work and without family. We have no means of support. I can't bear to see my only brother die in front of me because of this extremely cruel war. Save us!"
