Save Germany the Frenchie

My animal-loving friend Myra was dropping off a visitor at the Atlanta airport yesterday when she spotted this poor thing standing in the middle of the highway. Of course, Myra stopped traffic to run out and get her! She could tell that the dog was skin and bones, but when she picked her up, she discovered that the dog also had a prolapsed vagina that was severely infected. Myra and her spouse rushed the dog to an emergency vet, where they were referred to BluePearl in Sandy Springs, Ga.

Because their visitor had been flying home to Germany, they named this little French bulldog Germany. Germany's condition is so perilous that for now, the vets are treating the infection and keeping her comfortable with pain medications while they try to stabilize her enough for surgery.

This poor girl has probably been mistreated and overbred her whole life, and when she had a medical emergency, her "person" dumped her. Germany deserves so much better! But the cost of surgery to save her life is going to take a village.
