I am in desperate need of assistance and sponsorship for Miss Gemma.

She was found last Tuesday with her back injured.

She was seen at the Veterinary Emergency Group in Phoenix, where they determined that she was diagnosed with: Diagnosis with pelvic fractures and abdominal wall hernia with small intestinal involvement, suspected to be due to

trauma.

Gemma was shot at with a BB gun and what we assume is when she took off after getting shot she may have lost her balance causing her to fall on something that caused significant damage to her fractured pelvis.

After spending 8 hours with her at the vet it was determined her injuries do not look like she was hit by a car but more blunt trauma to her body.

At this time she needs two surgeries

One to repair the damage to her abdominal wall as well as a specialist to mend her fractured pelvis.

Her abdominal wall surgery was quoted between $4,000 - $6,000

and her fracture pelvis repair between $5,500 - $6,500 from Southwest Veterinary Surgical Service in Gilbert.

This poor girl did not deserve to be attacked and have her life taken from her. She is currently trying her best to stay put while I try to fund her surgery.

This feels defeating.

I was so proud of Gemma’s rescue and forever placement and now she’s back with me fighting for her life.

I am disappointed at whoever thought this was ok or funny. To cause intentional harm on a cat thriving in her home is beyond me.

For now she is ok.
