Help Gemini, the Bobtail Kitten, Get Life-Saving Treatment!
Hi, my name is Tabby, and I’m an experienced kitten foster with a heart full of love for helping the tiniest lives thrive. Recently, I took in a beautiful bobtail kitten named Gemini, rescued from a hoarding situation. At just 4 weeks old, Gemini and her siblings lost their mama’s care and were left to fight for survival.
Now 8 weeks old, Gemini is proving to be a little warrior. She’s playful, curious, and absolutely adorable. But during her first vet visit, we discovered she has a serious medical condition: hydronephrosis of the left kidney. This condition causes abnormal kidney function and may require surgery to save her life.
Why We Need Your Help
The journey to give Gemini the care she needs is just beginning, and the costs are adding up quickly. So far, I’ve spent $343 on vaccines, fecal tests, anti-parasitics, and the initial diagnostic testing for her kidney. The next step is a consult with a specialist, which is estimated to cost around $1100 for exams and additional tests. Should surgery be necessary, costs could run into the thousands.
As an independent foster, I’m dedicated to giving Gemini every chance at a happy, healthy life. While I can provide her with a loving home and daily care, I need your support to cover the medical expenses for this unexpected special case.
About Gemini
Gemini was born without a tail, a mutation that can sometimes lead to other complications with internal systems. Despite her diagnosis, she’s eating well, drinking well, and keeping up with her siblings. Her resilience and gentle personality make her so special, and she deserves every chance at a full, vibrant life.
How You Can Help
Your donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference for Gemini. Here’s how your contributions will be used:
- Specialist consultation and diagnostic tests: $1100
- Surgery and follow-up care (if necessary): estimated in the thousands
Every dollar raised will go directly toward Gemini’s medical bills. If you prefer to donate directly to the vet clinic, I can provide their contact information once the specialist appointment is scheduled.
Bonus: Get to Know Gemini!
I’ll be sharing updates, photos, and videos of Gemini throughout her journey, so you can follow her progress and see the impact of your support. Her ultrasound images and a video of her playing this morning are included in the updates—she truly is the cutest little fighter!
Please help us give Gemini the happy ending she deserves. Together, we can save this sweet girl and help her live the long, playful life every kitten deserves. If you cannot contribute financially, please consider sharing to help us reach other angels who can help!
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!
