Save Gary: Lance's Emotional Support Cat

This is Gary, the 9 month old tuxedo kitten. Gary is my son Lance's emotional support cat and best friend.

Gary has experienced a bladder rupture which has required hospitalization and surgery. He has been hospitalized for several days, and we are committed to doing everything we can to save his life.

The cost for this care is terribly expensive. Lance, Gary's human, is a college student who works part time at Lowe's, and doesn't have the funds to pay for the full veterinary bill. He would welcome any financial help you can give to help save his best friend's life, and he would welcome any words of support as he navigates this terrifying time.

Update: 7:30 pm, 12/19/2024

The surgeon called. Gary's bladder had ruptured. The doctors were able to see the tear using a contrast injection, and they have successfully repaired it! The surgery was complicated, but so far everything looks good. They were most concerned about Gary's high levels of potassium, but those levels have improved enormously since the surgery. Gary is resting and recovering in the hospital. He may be able to come home on Saturday.

Lance is holding up pretty well. We've received an estimate for the bill for all of these procedures, and they're enormous, but Gary has survived, and you are all helping so much!
