Save Furiosa: Heart Surgery Needed

This is Furiosa. She’s a 5-month-old kitten that really has had it rough in her short life. At just 2 months old, she was taken to the shelter with a ripped ear and de-gloved tail, requiring partial amputation. She has been such a champ and is the sweetest kitten.

Now, she’s facing worse medical complications. She has a grade 4/6 heart murmur and enlargement of her heart. The veterinarians are suspecting a PDA, which is a hole in her heart. She needs an echocardiogram for confirmation, and if confirmed, the only treatment is surgery. Without treatment, she may make it to 3 years of age. With treatment, she can live a full life.

Right now, I’m just focusing on raising enough for her echocardiogram so we can start any kind of treatment. We need to slow the progression of her heart. This girl deserves to live. Please share. Thank you.
