Save "Fresh" the Cat

Hello everyone! Just wanted to update folks on how Fresh is doing! For those new to this GoFundMe, and why it was created by my dear friend Arabella, Fresh was diagnosed with Wet form FIP. In this country, if you don't take extremely expensive measures, it is a death sentence for cats. With this disease, in its wet form, the animal is drowning from within its own body. Fortunately there is a cure and Fresh has been receiving daily injections to keep him alive and build up the antibodies and ability to beat this disease with a 3 month long treatment. He is a young cat, not yet 2, with his whole life ahead of him. The injections themselves are painful, and if his skin starts to develop sores, which can sometimes happen, I will have to switch him to oral pills. Sadly, these are more expensive, thus the reason for the increase in goal. We also have to have his blood taken a few times to make sure of the efficacy as we treat and a final time to make sure it is gone and can stop treatment.

Right now, he is eating well, playing and continuing to improve daily. He gets pain meds to help with the sting of the serum that is injected, and that seems to help a lot!. We are on track to complete his treatment April 1st.

I want to thank everyone who has donated and those who may, I couldn't have even started treatment without help and he would have been dead within the first 5 days if I hadn't. I am ever so grateful to be able to help my cat, and the more exposure this gets, the more people with cats with this awful disease know it's possible to get the cure.
