A father, his wife and mother to 4 young children are fighting for their lives in Gaza. Right now, they have no safe shelter, no blankets to protect them from the cold, and no food to keep going. Yesterday, the children froze through the night and cried a lot, unable to find warmth or comfort. The father hasn’t eaten for days, and his children are desperate for warmth and security.

The Gaza Strip has been flooded with rain, leaving families like this one exposed to the elements, with their only clothes absolutely soaked on their backs. The tent that was their only shelter destroyed, leaving them even more vulnerable.

The constant fear of drowning, combined with the intense cold, has made every moment a battle for survival. This family has no safe place to stay, and they cannot keep their children safe without urgent help.

To make matters worse, the soaring costs of food, driven by high demand, restrictions, and price manipulation by profiteers, are leaving families in distress.

The price for 1 egg was nearly 10 Euros, making it nearly impossible for this family to afford basic sustenance. With past support, they managed to buy loaves of bread—to eat from a bakery but with the prices continuing to rise, this is no longer an option.

The children have a simple wish: they love bananas, yet the father cannot afford even something so basic for them. His heart breaks waiting for donations to come through, hoping he can provide for his children. He walks to the market, praying he has enough money to buy something for them, but often returns empty-handed. The sorrow of not being able to give his children even a banana weighs heavily on him, as he desperately tries to tell his youngest son on his return.

A potential dream of Abu Salman is to raise enough money to buy a large sack of flour for $250-$300, hoping it will provide for the family to last days but his hasn't happened. Even buying a small bag to their shock, has had flour mixed with sand and insects, leaving the family unable to eat all of it. This has made their already dire situation even worse.

This family is not only battling the elements but also the heartbreaking reality of being unable to afford the basic food and shelter they need to survive. Your support can help change that.
