Save Fozzy Bear from Euthanasia and Help Get Him Home!

This is Fozzy Bear, the cutest and most heartbreakingly sad looking dog I’ve ever seen. He is on the euthanasia list at Downey Animal Care Center in Southern California. I am in Marquette Michigan and I am doing everything in my power to get him out of the shelter and transported here to me.

We have a fenced backyard and I work from home. A truly ideal situation for this boy, he will have all the love and care he needs for the rest of his days. He will be absolutely adored.

FozzyBear has done nothing to deserve being on the euthanasia list. He is not aggressive or sick. He’s a sweet shy boy who just has the bad luck of being in an overcrowded shelter. He has only been there three weeks after being found as a stray and is already past his euthanasia deadline, meaning he could lose his life any day.

Transportation will cost 750 dollars and, if nobody steps up to temporarily foster, he will also need to be boarded for the next 10 days until he can be transported. This costs about 60 dollars a day.

An amazing number of people commented offering to help me save him when I posted his story, and I know if we all come together we can change the world at least for this one dog. Please donate if you have even a few dollars to spare. I promise to post updates on him and his new life for you all to see.

Thank you so much. My heart is so touched to see that people care about this sad boy.

UPDATE: I am absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude at the support we’re seeing for Fozzy Bear so quickly. I want to assure everyone that if this fundraiser raises more than what we end up needing for his rescue, boarding, and transportation, we will donate anything left over to the rescue who pulls him.

Also I didn’t realize the automatic adjustment feature was on for the goal amount, so at one point tonight it auto jumped from a “starting goal” of 800 it had set to 1600. This was not intentional. The goal is 1400 dollars and it will not be raised.
