Support Fonzie's Next Round of Surgery

Hello All,

My name is Stephan and Fonzie is my dog son of 16 years. We are currently in Paraguay, South America living and he was just hit by a driver that was not paying attention to the road. He hit him while he was on the side of the road, on the curb when we came out of the gate from the house. The driver didn't stop and kept going!

We just recently invested our savings into opening our restaurant and buying a house here in Paraguay to live. Because of this, we are short on savings and have been able to cover the current emergency expenses and the stay in the hospital because he needs IV fluids and medicine for his age and the damage suffered.

We are asking for any help possible to cover part of the two upcoming surgeries needed to set and remove the bone particles from the broken leg. The veterinarian says he is doing very well and extremely healthy for his age and believes the bones will heal well with the surgery. But with his age, it is a risky situation for the anesthesia and because of his age, he needs many tests before surgery to verify that his body and system can handle the drugs and time in surgery.

We thank you for taking the time to read the story and if you have ever met Fonzie, you know he has the soul of a human and a very sweet boy that has been by my side for 16 years and is like my child. He has traveled with me to every job I've been to and all my travels in the world that he was allowed to fly to. If the vet can't do the operation, we will have to fly back to the United States when he is stable this week for his regular vet to perform the operation. If this happens, the cost will be much more.
