Fizz’s Health Emergency: On Saturday, March 29, 2025, we noticed that Fizz was having trouble breathing, and we rushed him to the Animal Emergency Critical Care in Lynchburg, VA. After examination, the veterinarians discovered that fluid had been accumulating in his lungs, and they removed 50-90 mL of fluid from each lung to help him breathe more easily.

While the emergency treatment provided temporary relief, the underlying cause of Fizz’s condition remains undiagnosed, and his health remains fragile. The veterinary team suspects a lump near his heart, which could potentially indicate early signs of cancer, though this is yet to be confirmed. We are working closely with medical professionals to determine the best course of action to save his life.

To further evaluate and treat Fizz’s condition, he is at Timberlake Animal Hospital. The hospital plans to conduct additional diagnostic tests, including X-rays, oxygen therapy, and further procedures as necessary.

Our Financial Situation: The unexpected veterinary costs have placed a significant burden on our finances. Fizz's initial emergency visit alone cost over $700, and the upcoming treatments at Timberlake Animal Hospital are expected to be even more expensive. The exact costs are uncertain, but they are projected to be substantial given the complexity of his condition.
