Finny's Story
Finny (full name: Final Boss) is a sweet, four year old, cat who lost her leg after being attacked by a coyote in 2014. After three subsequent surgeries, Hannah and I met her at a shelter April 2015. It was love at first sight, we adopted her an hour later.
She is now fighting a form of kidney failure that our vets can't explain. To top it off, I lost my job the same week, and Hannah's work has been reduced to 1-3 days a week if that.
Finny's Costs
Finny has undergone tests for bloodwork, renal values, and urine culture. She was hospitalized for several days last week to receive a round-the-clock IV drip to flush her kidneys, but to no avail. An ultrasound and electrophoresis also showed no abnormalities, yet her kidneys are still not working at max capacity. Our veterinarian is baffled, and we are emotionally drained.
Her current daily routine consists of morning IV drips, phosphorous binders, 2 antibiotics (for a secondary urinary tract infection), and medicine to reduce blood pressure.
All totaled, that is $3,100.00 spent, with further labwork totaling a CONSERVATIVE $4,000.00.
How You Can Help
Please share and/or donate. We don't normally beg, but this is an incredibly tough time for us. We named her Final Boss because she has fought grand fights and has made it all the way. This cannot be her final fight. She and her sister, Puppy, are our babies. We humble ourselves by asking you to help Finny get better, and are eternally grateful to everyone who helps by sharing or donating. Thank you, all.
