Hi Friends,
Finn McCool is in hospital for the second time in a week and a half. The first time he was released after a UTI blockage and never rebounded. I brought him back days later after finding him completely limp in the litter box - terrified he wasn't going to make the drive. This time, they said he had a urethral tear and wanted $16,000 to treat him. Today, they said if I didn't come up with at least $3000 by 9pm they would remove his catheter and release him. He would have died without that catheter and surgery. I contacted Actors and Others For Animals who got him into another clinic with a much more reasonable price - $2000 for the surgery and a week long stay. It was an hour and a half drive from one hospital to the next - he purred and snuggled my hand the entire drive.
He needs PU surgery to reroute his urethra which will prevent this from happening again. I had already given every single penny I have to the former hospital - bringing in my daily cash sales every night. My finances were already strained from my own emergency surgery in July. Any help at all towards this is so greatly appreciated! Finn McCool is only 4 years old - he's got a good prognosis going forward once he has the surgery. All donations will go directly to the new vet who is working on him. If this drive is successful enough to have an overage - all excess will go to Actors and Others For Animals who saved his life by getting us into another clinic today.
