PLEASE HELP SAVE OUR BELOVED STAGE! Finest City Improv is an independently run theatre, founded by our fearless leader, Amy Lisewski. Her hard work in building and running this theatre has created a safe space of laughter and community for all of San Diego.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Amy has worked TIRELESSLY to keep the stage from closing. Countless hours have been spent researching and applying for funds and grants, endless hours of sitting on hold, grasping for any kind of support that could keep the ship afloat.
The results have just not been enough, as we see the second wave of lockdowns going into effect, and no more government assistance on the horizon. The building landlord of the theatre is now threatening evictions and lawsuits and REFUSES to budge on lowering rent during this impossible time. Amy herself is looking at bankruptcy as she fights to keep this dream alive for EVERYONE.
So now it's time for our community to RALLY TOGETHER and SAVE FINEST CITY IMPROV. Our city has already had to say goodbye to so many beloved businesses who have had to close their doors forever due to lack of funds. Don't let Finest City Improv be another loss to this pandemic.
