Save Filaree - Home Lost in CA Fires

Donation protected
We need to help SAVE FILAREE!

The Filaree Farm at 5826 Filaree Heights, Malibu burned to the ground in the Woolsey fires on Nov 9, 2018. Filaree Farm has been a home to many Hodgson and Murphy family and friends since 1975. All that remains now are rubble and ash.

Everyone is safe. Molly, Ed, Bonnie, Bash, and Inger focused on saving the animals, instruments, and art as they evacuated with the fires moving faster than our family has ever seen in Malibu.  Everything else is gone.

Bash turned 7 on Nov 8, 2018, the day before the evacuation. Of all his clothes, toys, swords, and school art projects, he was only able to save a little paper jewelry box he filled with a dollar bill and one of the little warriors he builds out of sticks and stones. His mom also saved his blankie and the laser tag set he just got for his birthday.

Please help us reach our goal to support the family while they are displaced. There is fire insurance to cover some basics. Not nearly enough to rebuild Filaree Farm for the next generations to enjoy!

I also want to acknowledge the Filaree neighbors who have also lost everything...The Browns, The Denkers, The Thickes, the list keeps growing.

Thank you from my heart and soul!
