I’m reaching out with a heavy heart because sweet Farrah, my family’s Basset Hound, needs emergency surgery to remove a rock she accidentally swallowed. The rock is large enough to block her intestines, and without surgery she could be in severe pain or worse.

The vet says the surgery needs to happen immediately to save her life. The estimate for the procedure, hospitalization, and follow-up care is simply more than we can afford.

Farrah has been an emotional support animal to all of us, especially after the loss of her brother Samson last year. We cannot simply go through another loss in this family. She’s gentle, loving, and goofy, and she has so much more life left to live.
