My sweet prince needs help.

In 2020, I rescued Falkor from a kill list, and he ended up rescuing me right back. During my cancer treatment and recovery, this incredible boy became my constant companion, got me out of bed each day, and truly helped save my life. Due to my cancer treatment, I can’t have children, so Falkor isn’t just my pet - he’s my son, my whole world.

For the past few months, Falkor has been struggling with concerning symptoms including gut issues and other health issues. We’ve been working tirelessly with veterinarians, running blood tests, trying different medications, and changing his diet, but we still don’t have answers.

This week brought devastating news. After an ultrasound, the veterinary team suspects Falkor has severe protein-losing enteropathy - a serious condition affecting his intestines that’s causing dangerous protein loss throughout his body. The ultrasound also revealed abnormal fluid in his abdomen and concerning changes to his small intestine and pancreas.

What Falkor needs now:

- Comprehensive gastrointestinal blood panel

- Endoscopy with an Internal Medicine specialist under full sedation

- Ongoing treatment once we have a definitive diagnosis

Why I need your help:

I’ve been absorbing all the veterinary costs myself while still paying off my own cancer-related medical debt. I’ve delayed other bills hoping each appointment would bring answers, but the costs are mounting and I can no longer manage alone. The testing needed for Falkor’s diagnosis and treatment is beyond what I can handle financially.

Falkor gave me hope during my darkest days and helped me fight for my life. Now I’m fighting for his. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to getting Falkor the care he desperately needs.
