The Fairway Cafe has been a meeting place for Lynden families for many generations. Ours included! We want to show our support for Rose DeGroot and her employees and their families while staying open during the current mandates.
To allow Go Fund Me to approve I am stating the following truths:
1.) I am T Dan Thompson owner operator of Z Recyclers Inc Lynden, WA
2.) I have lived 57 of my 58 years in Whatcom County and have owned the above business for 35 of its 55 years in business.
3.) We are local supporting local. Fairway Cafe is just one of the businesses that we would love to help.
4.) All the proceeds donated will help them pay for the costs of doing business while under the mandates of the WA Governor. As is reported 12/8/20: 2300 restaurants have gone under since the beginning of the pandemic. They are estimating that 3000 more are to follow. I purchase lunches for our 20 employees every other Friday from local eateries. I love to eat & meet and have business meetings at The Fairway Cafe.
5.) I be paying them directly through our business account. The Fairway Cafe is our main reason for starting this but as Rose is already contributing to the livelihood of other restaurants in Lynden - reaping & sowing as an act of her faith.
