Save Esme: Urgent Surgery Needed

Hello! My name is Yessiana, Esme’s mother. My beautiful, sweet boy was rushed to the emergency vet last night due to lethargic acts, swollen bladder and nonstop vomiting. Upon arrival, veterinarian Mark explained that Esme had Perineal urethrostomy, in other terms; he was blocked from using the bathroom.

I was given three options.

A temporary solution with a 60% chance blockage will return within 2-3 days.

Surgical procedure that creates a permanent opening in the urethra.

or euthanasia..

Appalled, I requested estimates for surgery.

Esme is only 3 years old with a mother that has loved him since creation. With a kind soul like his, he couldn’t fathom stranger danger. He holds back no cuddles or head bumps. He’s intelligent and forgiving. He’s everything anyone would want in a cat and I would NOT be here typing this right now if he was to have never entered my life.

He saved me.
