Mohammad Erfan is a 20-year-old Afghan refugee living in Turkey who is fighting for his life against advanced liver failure, Wilson’s disease, and end-stage cirrhosis. For years, Erfan has battled an illness no child should ever have to face. He was once a bright, energetic boy who loved learning and dreamed of building a future. But since the age of 10, this disease has slowly destroyed his liver. Every specialist in Iran and Turkey has confirmed the same heartbreaking truth: a liver transplant is the only way to save his life. Yet, because they are refugees, Erfan and his family have been repeatedly denied access to life-saving treatment, despite medical confirmation and urgent need.

Over the past four months, their situation has collapsed completely. Their residency permits were revoked, all government assistance was terminated, and their medical insurance was canceled. Hospitals refuse to admit Erfan without coverage, and the family is legally prohibited from working. Erfan needs daily medication and constant monitoring, yet he currently receives none. Each day without treatment pushes him closer to a tragedy no family should face. They are a family of six: Erfan, his three sisters (ages 18, 8, and 3), his mother, and his father. They have spent every savings they ever had on hospital bills, tests, and medications. Today, they cannot afford even the most basic necessities: food, rent, or transport to hospitals.

Every contribution will go directly toward emergency medical evaluations, life-saving medications, specialist care, and attempts to relocate Erfan to a country where a liver transplant is possible.
