Save Enki's Family Farm!

Fellow gamer, beloved coworker, previous head GM, and long-time Wurm staff member, Enki, has had a hard road these last few years.

His drop in online activity stemmed from the death of his mother and the hospitalization and of his elderly father who survived sepsis, multiple organ failure, pancreatitis, and a number of health issues, which took up a lot of his time and, thus, he lost his income via a contract with Wurm Online. He has been under or unemployed since February of last year, and that has caused him and his family substantial hardship. Along with living on the rural family farm, work is hard to come by with the substantial effort required to take care of his elderly father and daily chores and upkeep of their farm.

His basic needs and long-term sustainability are at risk. The bills have been piling up and, besides a few computer repairs locally that he has done, he has not been able to secure gainful income to support himself, his father, and maintain the family farm. He is now at real risk of losing what little comforts he has left, and I am hoping this will be the push he needs to have the peace to secure new contracts and income to support his well-being.

Worse yet, Enki has also lost his medical insurance and has hypertension, making the stress of this situation ultimately worse and putting his life at risk for stroke or heart attack. He will need to pay for care out of pocket because of an insurance filing clerical error leaving him completely without insurance. He has not had his required medications for over 3 months. (update- He has partial insurance until later this year, but is at risk of losing access to his doctor and his medications after that.)

He was very hesitant to ask for help and finally has agreed just due to sheer need. It is my hope we can get him close enough to his goal to prevent him from having to uproot his life or, worse, homelessness. They were not able to have holidays this year due to disparate times. Additionally, he does not have trash pick up and is very rural. Long trips away from home to get essentials would mean long drives away from his father. He is very isolated out in the country far away from really anything.

We have crafted a list of items that are of dire need to be replaced or bills needing to be paid. They are as follows:

Rx $75 every 3 months (without insurance)

Omega 3 pills for dogs $26 every 2 months

Annual vet visit/shots for both dogs ~$150
