Save Elliot After Horrifying Cougar Attack!
Donation protected
Elliot is currently being treated for his injuries after being attacked by a cougar in Sooke last Saturday, January 21, 2023.
Elliot has been coping with diabetes for several months now. After many expensive trials and needles he has become strong and healthy - resulting in being a brave indoor/outdoor kitty again… Unfortunately leading to this horrifying attack by a cougar outside his Sooke home late Saturday evening.
With the quick thinking and brave actions of his human, she was able to catch the cougar off guard by yelling and confronting it. This resulted in the cougar releasing Elliot’s head from his powerful jaws. Barb was able to bravely (and maybe slightly foolishly) scoop Elliot away and bring him back into the house, which promptly became a quick and panicked drive to the pet hospital in the middle of the night.
He has been fighting for his life at Central Victoria Pet Hospital since this petrifying event, and as one can imagine, those bills are potentially as scary as the cougar attack itself. Elliot and his family are sadly no stranger to expensive vet bills, but this time Elliot is required to have so much care and treatment. Every night at the hospital is the equivalent of an expensive stay at the Hilton (but without the luxury)
Please send healthy thoughts and prayers to this sweet boy as he fights for what feels like his 9th life in his young age. He is making great progress already and could use all the positive thoughts and prayers. Please help get this little warrior home so he can enjoy being a spoiled (indoor) kitty!
Truly, ANYTHING helps. Even if you can't donate, even sharing this fundraiser will help greatly.
