My name is Hala. I am Palestinian originally from Gaza. I live in Australia.I have a small family who means the world to me.

I have not been able to sleep since October 7th, as every day I dread getting a call or message telling me my parents are dead in Gaza.

The situation in Gaza has become increasingly dire and the safety of my parents is at stake. My father Hisham is 63 years old and my mother Elham 56 years old, they live every day, with no insulation and harsh weather conditions. The situation is worsening day by day, with limited access to food, clean drinking water, and heavy bombardments.

My father Hisham suffers from a heart condition and there are no medications, since the start of this war. My father Hisham needs urgent surgery for his heart.

my mother Elham Basheer is suffering from panic attacks, which pose a major threat to her health, as she is almost sixty years old.

I am scared to death for their safety. They are innocent humans, that deserve to live, and meet my baby Elias soon.

I have initiated this GoFundMe campaign to raise 45,000 AUD to break down the fund:

22.000$: for permits and crossing fees to Egypt for both of them (Hisham and Elham), for each person there is a 10.000$ each to cross the Rafah border from Gaza to Egypt.

2000$: for two months rent in Egypt and I will be covering their daily expenses.

the rest of the amount is for my dad's surgery and I will be covering more if he needs it.

This is the first time I have raised a GoFundMe page, but I have no other option, as I do not have the funds myself, to help my beloved parents. Please help me raise the funds to evacuate Hisham and Elham, to safer grounds.
