Help Protect Elephants & Empower Farmers in Sri Lanka

At EleBalance, our mission is simple: protect Sri Lanka’s majestic elephants while empowering the farmers who share their land.

Turning conflict into coexistence:

Sri Lanka faces some of the highest elephant mortality rates globally and is one of the world’s highest rates of human-elephant conflict—488 elephants and 145 people died in 2023. As habitats shrink, elephants enter farmland searching for food, putting both human and elephant lives at risk.

We’re excited to announce a new step in our journey at EleBalance. We are now working exclusively with seven dedicated farmers in Sri Lanka, providing them with expert agricultural consultants and resources to maximize the health and productivity of their orange trees. These trees aren’t just crops—they're key to a sustainable future where humans and elephants can thrive together.

In regions where human-elephant conflict threatens both wildlife and livelihoods, we believe the answer lies in balance, not barriers.

Your donation supports:

Orange trees are a natural elephant deterrent—elephants avoid citrus! This means more secure crops for farmers, and reduce the need for harmful deterrents. The orange trees help reduce crop raids and retaliatory violence, keeping both farmers and elephants safe. With your help, we can expand this innovative solution, support more farmers, and protect more elephants.

Every contribution makes a real impact. Whether it’s $10 or $100, your support keeps this conservation model growing.

Join us in building a future where elephants roam free and farmers thrive.
