We are knocking on your kind hearts for my college best friend, Eleneth Castillo. She was diagnosed with Cervical and Thoracic Ossified Posterior Longitudinal Ligament (OPLL) with Myelopathy, and would need to undergo Cervical Spine Surgery.

Prior to the diagnosis, she underwent Thoracic Spine Surgery  and still in the process of recovery. However, she has been paraplegic (paralyzed lower extremities) for almost a year now.

Her recent MRI indicated a significant narrowing of her central canal in the cervical region. If she could not undergo the Cervical Spine Surgery, her paraplegia (paralysis of lower extremities) will get worse and will lead to the paralysis of her arms and hands as well.

Her paraplegia has not stopped her from working to sustain her medicine and basic needs. She is a virtual assistant in the Philippines working for a US company.  Losing her hands would mean losing her only means to survive.
