Save Eeyore and Marcie-Battling FIP
Tax deductible
Imagine this: Holding a kitten as it struggles to breathe. Watching a kitten gain weight and then suddenly lose it. Looking into the eyes of a 1-year-old cat and seeing the pain as you syringe feed it for the 3rd day, hoping today she will want to eat on her own. Trying one more antibiotic to see if this one does it. Anything to avoid hearing the vet say FIP again. This has been our struggle. First, they begin to grow and then the immune system can fight the virus no more. The coronavirus mutates and the illness with “no cure” takes hold. We lovingly hold it, crying, as we help it pass from the pain of this world.
This has been a tough year for us as we have tried to help so many stray and abandoned cats here in North Carolina. Too many times we fought for a kitten struggling against this invisible viral foe. We need help. Today we are fighting for 2 more cats, Eeyore and Marcie, to get special treatment to try and help them survive FIP. This treatment is long, expensive and life-saving. It is 12 weeks of injections or pills, which requires the time and dedication of a caring foster, and the money to pay for it. Can you please help us raise the funds to save Eeyore and Marcie’s lives? In 2 days of treatment they have both gone from barely moving, not eating and high fevers, to no fevers, moving around and starting to eat again, but we have a long way to go and a lot of money is needed to pay for the medical expenses.
