Help Darlene Save Her Best Friend, Eddie

I’m starting this GoFundMe to help my neighbor — Darlene and her sweet dog, Eddie. My own pup absolutely adores Eddie, and through their daily greetings and tail wags, I got to know Darlene and hear her story. It touched me deeply, and I knew I wanted to do something to help.

Eddie is an older dog with the kindest eyes and a gentle soul. Unfortunately, he’s been diagnosed with Perianal Adenomas — painful tumors near his tail that need to be surgically removed. While these tumors are often benign, they can grow and cause discomfort or infection if left untreated. Surgery is his best chance at living out his golden years comfortably and pain-free.

The problem is that the pre-op, surgery and follow-up care are very expensive, and Darlene is doing her best to make ends meet, but the cost — around $10,000 — is simply out of reach right now.

Hearing Darlene talk about Eddie, it’s clear how much love and companionship he’s given her over the years. He’s been her steady source of comfort and joy — always by her side through every hardship. Now, he needs her help, and she needs ours.

I created this page so that together we can lift some of that burden off her shoulders and give Eddie the chance to keep wagging that happy tail. Every dollar raised will go directly toward his surgery, recovery, and follow-up care.
