If you know me, you know that my dog Dustin is my entire heart. He isn’t “just a dog” — he is my best friend, my protector, my reason to smile every single day. He has been by my side through so many chapters of my life, and the thought of losing him is unbearable.

Last night, Dustin suddenly became very sick. I rushed him to an emergency vet, but things were not handled properly. His condition got worse, and today I had to take him to a specialty animal hospital in the city. After more testing, I was told that Dustin has pancreatitis and needs to be hospitalized for at least 48 hours. Without this treatment, there is a very real chance he won’t make it.

Hearing that broke me.

The estimated hospital bill is over $8,000. This was completely unexpected, and I am doing everything in my power to get him the care he needs. Asking for help is so hard for me — but I would do absolutely anything to save him.
