I am trying to raise money for my father-in-law, Gaudencio Astorga.  His friends and family know him as Lencho.  Lencho is the owner of well-known Durango’s Restaurant in Lubbock, Texas, currently with two locations (one on Frankford Ave. and one on University Ave.).  Lencho has done so much for his employees, friends and family.  He has the heart of a saint and is quick to help anyone in need, even if it means that he will go without.  Unfortunately, this willingness to help has ended up in fraud and betrayal, causing Lencho financial and mental stress and anguish.  Lencho opened up Durango’s Restaurant in 2002 and has been in business for 16 years.  He has worked double shifts for those 16 years without fail.  Lencho has always worked hard to keep his business open and does not want to give up nor give in.  He tells us “Leave it in God’s hands” and I feel God is guiding me to ask for help from the Lubbock and surrounding community, or as far as this will go.  Please, Lubbock, help him save his hard-earned restaurant that so many people love and enjoy.  This will go to help Lencho with rent, payroll , State comptroller taxes, and vendor expenses. We have never done this before, and Lencho has never asked for help. We are desperate to help Lencho in his time of need.  If this doesn’t work, well I guess this is a sign from God that we need to close our doors.  Thank you all for taking the time to read this and God Bless!
